Description
In response to the climate emergency and increasingly stringent regulations, the building sector is becoming more actively engaged in reducing its environmental footprint. Construction stakeholders are striving to optimize resource use, integrate bio-based or recycled materials, improve construction waste management, and comply with environmental standards and certifications. In this context, project owners, construction companies, and local authorities are seeking innovative, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible technical solutions—driving a growing demand for specialized skills.
The Mastère Spécialisé® “Positive Energy Building and Sustainable Construction (MS BE+)” trains professionals capable of designing, managing, and implementing high-performance sustainable construction projects. These experts play a key role in integrating eco-design principles, energy efficiency, and circular economy practices into both new construction and renovation projects. Through a multidisciplinary approach combining engineering, regulations, technological innovation, and project management, MS BE+ graduates actively contribute to the ecological transition of the construction sector.

Program Objectives
Upon completion of this Mastère Spécialisé®, participants will be able to lead construction or renovation projects by incorporating sustainability, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact—contributing to the energy and ecological transition of the building sector.
The objectives are to:
- Meet the energy and environmental performance requirements in sustainable construction and positive energy buildings (PEB);
- Train experts capable of designing and implementing innovative, integrated solutions to improve building energy efficiency throughout the life cycle;
- Equip engineers with complementary skills in sustainable project management, eco-design, and low-carbon technologies;
- Support the transformation of the building sector by using systemic approaches combining technology, digital tools, circular economy, and collective intelligence.
Program Structure
The program includes a unified core curriculum structured into four teaching units (UE), combining lectures, projects, expert talks, and visits to companies or industrial sites:
- Indoor Comfort
- Building Envelope & Energy Systems
- Building Modeling
- Building & Environmental Integration
The second semester is dedicated to the Professional Thesis and Internship (4 to 6 months).
Prerequisites
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) or Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Special exemption (up to 30% of the cohort):
Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) without professional experience Minimum required level in French: B2
Target audience
Anyone meeting the following prerequisites:
Master’s degree (Bac+5) or a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) with at least 3 years of professional experience
Engineers and professionals with expertise in the building and construction sector
